Trojan Technologies Inc. Announces Contracts Awarded Worth Over C$6.3 Million for Western U.S. Region
LONDON, Ontario–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Aug. 31, 1998–Trojan Technologies (TSE:TUV.) Trojan Technologies Inc. has recently been awarded contracts valued at over C$6.3 million to supply ultraviolet disinfection systems to be installed in four sites in western U.S. — three of which are to be installed in Phoenix, Arizona.
Three Trojan UV4000 Systems to be installed in Phoenix, valued at over C$5.5 million, are used for wastewater reclamation projects. “These systems will disinfect wastewater, which would otherwise be directed to receiving bodies such as rivers and streams. After UV disinfection, the treated water becomes a beneficial resource.” says David Schwartzel, Manager of Trojan’s California operations. “The water can then be used for irrigation of crops, landscape, groundwater augmentation and, in some cases, drinking water.”
A fourth contract, a Trojan UV3000 System, will be installed at the University of California located in Davis, Calif. The State of California currently maintainsthe highest wastewater disinfection standards in the world. Therefore, a UV-based wastewater disinfection system was chosen to ensure unrestricted use of treated wastewater.
Trojan Technologies Inc. is a Canadian based high technology environmental company operating internationally.
