KIRKLAND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Aug. 29, 2000

Trilogy Software, Inc., won a preliminary injunction against the Trilogy Development Group of Austin, Texas. The suit had been filed for trademark infringement by Trilogy Software, Kirkland, Washington, against the Trilogy Development Group of Austin, Texas.

Judge Pechman of the United States District Court Western District of Washington ordered the Texas Company to stop using the name Trilogy Software pending trial. The Trilogy Development Group of Austin, Texas, did not appeal this order.

“We have owned the rights to the Trilogy Software, Inc., trademark at least since March 26, 1992. It’s that simple,” says Doug Ebstyne, CEO of Trilogy Software, Inc. “We see the granting of the preliminary injunction as an exciting victory and look forward to a speedy trial to permanently uphold our name.”
