SeeBeyond To Support Real-Time Information Network for Short-term

Integration Activities and Long-term Strategic Growth

SeeBeyond (Nasdaq:SBYN), the leading global provider of eBusiness and Application Integration (eAI) solutions, today announced that Syngenta, a world-leading agribusiness, has selected the SeeBeyond(TM) Business Integration Suite to serve as its global strategic infrastructure to enable the real-time, end-to-end business process management of its supply chain activities. Supporting industry standards such as CIDX ChemXML and emerging Web services standards including SOAP, WSDL and UDDI, the SeeBeyond platform was also selected by Syngenta to address its internal and external application integration challenges.

Incorporating emerging ‘open’ standards such as XML, SOAP and UDDI, Syngenta will use the SeeBeyond(TM) Business Integration Suite to deliver the scalable, flexible integration solutions needed to support its business processes. The project will be rolled out on a global basis and will integrate all applications operating internally across regions and departments, as well as link external suppliers and business partners.

“One of our main priorities is to offer our suppliers and customers industry-leading products and services,” said Graham Heath, I/T Manager of Syngenta. “For this we need a real-time enterprise infrastructure that will seamlessly connect multiple applications and guarantee delivery, both inside and outside the firewall. SeeBeyond fully meets our requirements, while allowing us to benefit from an open standards architecture.”

Syngenta chose SeeBeyond for its comprehensive product suite built on a highly scalable, fault-tolerant, open platform, its knowledge of the eChem standards and responsiveness to the issues raised in the product evaluation.

“With global organizations constantly looking to maintain competitive advantage, SeeBeyond provides a key enabler to address this challenge by integrating end-to-end supply chain processes across multiple core business applications,” said David Bennett, Vice President and General Manager of EMEA for SeeBeyond. “Leveraging SeeBeyond to seamlessly connect supply chain processes, companies can reduce the number of applications required to drive these processes, resulting in improved operational efficiencies and savings on maintenance and development costs.”
