AirCard(R) 555 CDMA2000 1X PC Card Receives Microsoft Stamp of
Approval for Offering Mobile Users a Superior Wireless Experience
Sierra Wireless (NASDAQ: SWIR) (TSX: SW) announced today that the AirCard(R) 555, a wide area wireless PC Card operating on CDMA2000 1X networks, has met the quality standards of Microsoft Corp.’s Designed for Windows XP Logo Program. In receiving the Designed for Windows XP Logo the AirCard 555 passed Microsoft testing as a multi-function device for both the NIC (Network Interface Card) and DUN (Dial-Up Networking) interface.
The Designed for Windows XP Logo means the AirCard 555 has successfully passed quality lab testing and met a stringent set of performance, compatibility, and technology criteria defined by Microsoft. Products with the Designed for Windows XP Logo, like the AirCard 555, ensure customers receive a superior computing experience with products that are fully compatible with the Windows XP operating system.
