President of Reuters Media, David Graves, Joins Board of Advisors

NEWTON, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Aug. 21, 2000, Inc., the largest network of online marketplaces for e-business services, today announced that David Graves, President, Reuters Media, Americas (formerly Reuters NewMedia), has joined the company’s Board of Advisors.’s Board of Advisors works closely with the company’s Board of Directors and executive management team to set strategic direction and identify new market and business opportunities.

Graves has more than 25 years of management experience in the news industry, pioneering new business strategies and market opportunities for leading broadcast, wire and Internet news organizations.

Graves joined Reuters six years ago as senior vice president of Reuters NewMedia, responsible for spearheading the Internet distribution strategy of Reuters news. In this role, he secured major partnerships with Internet portals and destination sites. In his current role as president of Reuters Media, Graves is responsible for product design, sales and marketing globally for both traditional media and new media, as well as operations and infrastructure for North America, Canada and South America.

Prior to Reuters, Graves created and launched AdValue Media Technologies, which was acquired by Reuters in 1994. AdValue provided an electronically integrated system for conducting transactions, improving communications, managing advertising programs, and administering invoicing between advertising agencies and television stations. Prior to founding AdValue, Graves served in a number of positions with Westinghouse Broadcasting (now CBS), including vice president/general manager of major market radio stations and as vice president of strategic planning.
