Nighthawk Systems Receives Order from Solar Traffic Controls; Nighthawk Products Control School-Zone Flashers in Arizona

SAN ANTONIO — Nighthawk Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: NIHK), a leading provider of intelligent wireless power control products, announced today that it has received an order from Solar Traffic Controls for additional PT1000 units to be used to activate solar powered school flashers in Gilbert, Arizona. Gilbert already has 10 solar powered school flashers that are activated by Nighthawk units. The flashers are used to remind drivers to slow down in school zones when children are present. Nighthawk products allow for centralized control of the flashers from the traffic management center thus saving on travel time around the town.

Joe Wise, President of Solar Traffic Controls, stated, “Nighthawk pager activation devices have proven reliable and cost effective for remote control of traffic devices using a readily available communications infrastructure.” Nighthawk’s PT1000 intelligent control board is perfectly suited for on-demand activation of roadside signs and warning systems.

H. Douglas Saathoff, Nighthawk’s Chief Executive Officer, stated, “We’re very happy to partner with Solar Traffic Controls in providing cost efficient systems that have public safety as the first priority. We look forward to capturing more business in this area as we gain exposure through projects like this one in Arizona and our recently-announced project with the Denver light rail system.”
