NORWICH, Vt. — King Arthur Flour’s Old-Fashioned Lemon Buttermilk Cake mix (www.kingarthurflour.com) has been chosen as one of the Outstanding New Product 2006 Finalists in the initial round of judging at the 2006 National Association for the Specialty Food Trade product awards competition. The second round of judging will take place on Sunday, July 9, 2006, at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City.

The all-natural Old-Fashioned Lemon Buttermilk Cake mix – developed, tested and packaged at King Arthur Flour’s test kitchen and grain room in Vermont – was selected as a finalist from among 522 food-product submissions. It is now being considered in the Best of Show category, a group comprising 12 diverse companies including manufacturers of cheese, sauces, yogurt, and baked goods.
