Health-Pak Inc. (NASD OTC:HHPK) has announced it has secured an agreement with Inductive Technologies Inc. to exclusively manufacture The SATURN Splint(TM).

The SATURN Split(TM) is a medical device which patent pending technology in many cases, relieves the pain and numbness of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Annually there are estimated 1 million new cases of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, a disease in part attributed to ergonomic issues of modern workplace. The device, is a radically new approach to the treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It is based on a newly developed understanding of its cause. The SATURN Splint(TM) provides instant relief of pain, as well as numbness in hands and abolishes nighttime pain. It can be easily used at home and is non-intrusive whereas prior to the SATURN Splint’s(TM) introduction the only option available to patients was complex surgery. Numerous tests show that patients using the SATURN Splint(TM) device experience immediate symptom relief, and after 4 weeks of use the device can provide clinical remission of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Health-Pak Inc. will be manufacturing the SATURN Splint(TM) and its distribution will be handled from Health-Pak’s 43,000 square ft. facility in Utica, N.Y. Distribution of the device will be through the Internet and traditional retail outlets. Several major insurance companies are conducting independent studies of the device with the view to recommend it initially over surgery if these studies reconfirm the results of previous tests. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has reviewed the information on SATURN Splint(TM) and has concluded that manufacturing, distribution and use of the device does not require their formal approval.
