Fiserv, Inc. Finalizes Agreement to Acquire Item Processing Business from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka
BROOKFIELD, Wis.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Oct. 1, 1998–Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ:FISV) announced today that it has completed its previously announced agreement to acquire the item processing business of the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) of Topeka, Kansas.
Through this agreement, Fiserv has added item processing facilities in Denver, Oklahoma City, Omaha and Topeka to its existing operations. These four centers process over 200 million items annually and serve approximately 200 financial institutions. With this acquisition, Fiserv now processes more than 4.3 billion items annually at facilities in 64 North American cities.
