Eschelon Telecom, Inc. a provider of voice, data, Internet services and business telephone systems announced today that it has launched the Business Telephone System (BTS) Service Manager solution to compliment its full suite of telecommunications products and equipment options.
Eschelon’s BTS Service Manager monitors a business’s phone system and proactively responds to major service alarms before the system downtime impacts the customer. It is an ideal solution for businesses that rely heavily on the use of their phone system especially during non-business hours such as medical offices, manufacturing companies and after-hours call centers.
The BTS Service Manager creates a link between the customer’s phone system and Eschelon’s Network Operations Center (NOC.) In the event that a problem occurs, Eschelon can respond quickly to help reduce the number of missed calls and the length of time the system is unavailable to customers. If a customer has a problem with their phone system an alarm will generate to report the problem. The Service Manager at the customer’s premise records the alarm and dials the Service Manager system located in Eschelon’s NOC. Eschelon’s trained NOC personnel will diagnose the alarm, and reference the customer’s company profile to handle the situation. If necessary, the NOC will contact Eschelon’s BTS service team to dispatch a technician to the customer’s premise.
