DEDHAM, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–March 22, 2004
IntelliReach’s MessageScreen(TM), an advanced spam, virus and
content filtering solution, was selected by Domino’s to stop spam on
their corporate network that supports 1,200 email users
IntelliReach Corporation, the leader in integrated compliance, security and management solutions for corporate messaging environments, today announced that Domino’s Pizza, the recognized world leader in pizza delivery, has selected IntelliReach’s MessageScreen(TM), their advanced spam, virus and content filtering solution that integrates an award-winning virus detection and explicit image scanning engine. Domino’s, who receives 1.1 million Internet email messages per month, and estimates that one third to one half of their incoming Internet email is spam, selected MessageScreen to stop costly spam on their corporate network that supports 1,200 email users.
“We already had an email routing appliance in place that could be upgraded with spam/virus filtration capability, but it did not meet our success criteria or specifications for stopping spam and filtering out damaging viruses,” commented Steve Zehnder, IT manager at Domino’s. “We researched and evaluated both ASP and internal gateway solutions, but after extensive evaluations, IntelliReach’s MessageScreen stood out as the clear leader in stopping spam and damaging viruses, meeting all our requirements including superior spam filtration and virus checking capabilities and compatibility with our email and network infrastructure.”
IntelliReach’s MessageScreen is an advanced spam, virus and content filtering solution that integrates an award-winning virus detection and explicit image scanning engine. A sophisticated anti-spam solution for all major messaging platforms including Novell (Nasdaq: NOVL) GroupWise and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) Exchange, it intelligently identifies the newest spamming techniques using multi-tiered filtering in addition to advanced lexical scanning and heuristic scoring to analyze each email. MessageScreen also adds advanced scanning analysis for HTML referenced images, which are found in over 95% of pornographic spam, keeping offensive content out of the organization. As a gateway-level appliance, MessageScreen stops spam, viruses and pornography before they can enter the network and do damage by consuming network bandwidth and disk space.
Recent reports state that spam costs organizations $25 per person per year for those with some sort of spam filtration mechanism, as opposed to $49 per year without one, and the cost is conservatively estimated to rise to $257 per person per year by 2007.
“The time to address the rising problem of spam is now,” commented Sam Levine, president and CEO of IntelliReach. “Stopping spam, viruses and porn at the gateway–before it enters the network–is the surest method to defeat spam and preserve the integrity of the corporate messaging environment. MessageScreen is the leader in eliminating costly, unwanted email and will enable Domino’s to focus on their pertinent messages, allowing them to be a more productive organization.”
The capability of operating in a limited test environment before full deployment, as well as its simple user interface with user configurable options, were also critical in Domino’s selection of MessageScreen.
