Digital River (Nasdaq: DRIV), the worldwide leader in digital commerce outsourcing, and e-Merchant Group, a primary vendor partner providing fifteen e-commerce Web sites for Quixtar, today announced that Digital River is hosting an online software superstore on Quixtar.com. Quixtar, the e-commerce venture of direct-sales company, Amway, launched its Web site on September 1, and offers several lines of products to its customers either at retail prices to non-members or at discounted prices to those who pay membership fees. The potential for success of Quixtar is evidenced in a new report issued by PC Data Online which shows that in its second week, Quixtar ranked no. 5 among shopping sites for page views for the week ending 9/11/99, with 52,290,000 pages viewed.

Shoppers are now able to go to Quixtar’s Web site – located at http://www.quixtar.com – and make purchases from e-Merchant/Digital River’s complete catalog of software and video game titles. Product orders can be fulfilled physically or via electronic software delivery.

“The breadth of Digital River’s product line as well as their expertise as a leader in e-commerce make them an appealing and valuable partner,” said Ed Harvey, President of e-Merchant Group, LLC. “Digital River is providing us with a seamless solution for physical and electronic fulfillment of software purchases. As we add software and video game stores to the already extensive list of Web store links that we provide to Quixtar – including jewelry, watches, home products, bicycles, sunglasses, collectibles, leather goods, knives, phones, toys and dolls – we are excited by the marketing opportunities this partnership brings to us.”

“e-Merchant Group is an exciting company to be working with as they expand on being the primary vendor to Quixtar by adding software and video games to their online offering,” said Joel Ronning, CEO of Digital River. “Being able to make our partners’ products available to the extremely large audience that Quixtar reaches will add value to the e-commerce services that we offer our software and video game publishers.”
