David England to Join UPN as New Chief Financial Officer
LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–June 10, 1999–
David England is joining the United Paramount Network as chief financial officer, it was announced Thursday by Adam Ware, chief operating officer, to whom England will report.
England, whose appointment is effective July 6, is currently chief financial officer of Western International Media.
In his new capacity, England will oversee all accounting and financial planning and reporting for the network, as well as information systems, operations, and human resources.

England has been chief financial officer of Western International Media since December 1996. During his tenure he was responsible for all financial planning and reporting for the company. Western, the largest independent media management company worldwide, provides media research, planning and placement services and is also active in related businesses including television distribution and post production services.
As CFO, England was actively involved in establishing Western’s long-term goals and implementation of goal oriented action steps. He also oversaw the company’s facilities and general administration departments as well as acquisition planning and analysis.
From 1992 to 1996, England was vice president, finance for Western, supervising a staff of 30 who developed and implemented operating budgets, as well as multi-divisional and departmental profit center reporting and analysis.
Prior to joining Western, England was controller, Hanna-Barbera Productions, responsible for all of the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions as well as the preparation, review and analysis of annual budgets, quarterly projections and film inventory valuation.
A graduate of the University of Southern California, England has a master of business administration degree with a dual emphasis on management & policy science and international business, as well as a bachelor of science degree in finance & business economics.
