MIAMI — Citibank will award grants totaling $791,500 to 51 non-profit organizations serving Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties during a ceremony being held on Thursday, February 10, 2005, beginning at 8:30 AM at The Doral Park Country Club, 5001 N.W. 104 Avenue, Doral, Florida 33178. These grants have been made possible by Citigroup and the Citigroup Foundation and target organizations that focus on community development and education. Organizations that will receive grants include: the Alliance for Human Services, Northwood Business Development Corporation, Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches, Hispanic Unity of Florida, and the Miami-Dade Affordable Housing Foundation. Media are welcomed to attend the ceremony to help us salute the many non-profit organizations that are making a difference in our South Florida communities and should RSVP in advance to Helen Steblecki, 718-248-4694.

“We recognize that community development and education programs are among the most valuable vehicles for building and rebuilding neighborhoods, and support us in strengthening our commitment to help make communities where we do business better places to live and work,” said Cali Garcia-Velez, President of Citibank in Florida. “Citibank is pleased and proud to be able to give back to local communities by contributing these grants and salutes the fine work of our non-profit partners.”

Along with funding, Citibank also offers non-profit organizations access to customized financial products and services, technical assistance, and support from our employee volunteers.
