MatrixOne, Inc. (NASDAQ: MONE), today announced that eMatrix(TM) is the solution of choice for Intelligent Collaborative Commerce(TM) at Aviointeriors S.p.A., Latina. Located near Rome, Aviointeriors is the European leader in the manufacture of interiors and seating for civil airplanes and train coaches. This agreement was facilitated by Adage Srl, a systems integrator specializing in the sale and support of eMatrix solutions.

The selection of MatrixOne’s software by Aviointeriors’ IT directors came after careful and exhaustive evaluation of competing products. eMatrix’s flexibility and legacy data integration capabilities were winning advantages when held up against competing PDM/CPC products.

The eMatrix platform implementation, enabling 100 users to collaborate across the enterprise, began last October. The first application, supporting EDM/PDM at Aviointeriors, was deployed in the second half of December 2000. Other eMatrix modules for Engineering Change Order Management and Engineering Process Control are planned to follow.

Aviointeriors proposes to integrate the entire Value Chain Portfolio(TM) of applications from MatrixOne into its infrastructure by year’s end. And with e-business in mind, the company will soon extend MatrixOne’s Intelligent Collaborative Commerce solution to its own partners.
