Alta Communications and Top Management Lead Investment Round into Retail Systems Alert Group
NEWTON, Mass. — Boston-based private equity firm Alta Communications, along with Tom Friedman and Brian Kilcourse have finalized a new investment for the industry-leading Retail Systems Alert Group (RSAG).
RSAG serves the Extended Retail Industry (ERI) by providing insight and analysis about a broad spectrum of issues and trends, creating forums for fostering thought leadership through face-to-face and online events and providing multiple access points to a highly qualified audience of ERI professionals. This investment will support the continued expansion and optimization of RSAG’s portfolio of fact-based, research-driven web, conference and exposition services.
“This investment represents a major endorsement of our strategy towards multi-channel media agnostic content delivery that began two years ago,” said Friedman, who serves as Chairman of the company he founded more than 20 years ago. “I am enthusiastic about the both the direction of the company under the new leadership of the recently hired CEO, Brian Kilcourse, and new events and products we are launching.”
Kilcourse has over ten years experience as a CIO in the retail industry. He is a recognized leader in the industry and has received several awards and accolades during his tenure as CIO.
