Samsung Print Ads Push `Digitall’ Products, SmartMedia – Brief Article – Statistical Data Included
RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J.–Samsung Electronics will break the print portion of its latest $150 million rebranding campaign in December to support its digital products. The pitch, via Arnell Group, N.Y., is product-focused, displaying digital TVs, digital cameras and its latest Yepp MP3 players, the latter of which are expected to hit retail next month at $199-249. Placements include Time, Newsweek and Fortune. Tagline: “Samsung Digitall, Everyone’s Invited.” Mark Knox, senior marketing manager for digital products, said the idea behind “Digitall” was to stake a claim on the word “digital,” a buzzword in the consumer electronics industry. The ads will also support Samsung’s SmartMedia card, a cross-category memory storage device.
