Denny’s Grabs New VP-Marketing From Competition – Roy Getz appointed VP marketing at Denny’s – Brief Article

SPARTANBURG, S.C.–Denny’s last week named Roy Getz to the post of vp-marketing. Getz, whose appointment becomes effective Nov.29, joins the 1,800-unit family dining chain from competing brand, Bob Evans. There he had also served as vp-marketing, following various leadership roles in operations, product development and marketing during his 18-year tenure. “Roy is an accomplished leader in the family dining segment,” said Jon Jameson, svp/COO for Denny’s, to whom Getz will report and whose promotion created the vacancy for the top marketer. “His keen understanding of our business will lead Denny’s into the new millennium as we focus on providing great food and service to today’s families.”
