Coke Realigns Marketing

Coca-Cola has realigned branding responsibilities and promoted several execs as part of a broader marketing department reorganization designed to strengthen the company’s brand-building and volume-generating efforts.
Leading the roster is a promotion for Frank Bifulco, elevated from vp to svp for Coca-Cola USA operations marketing. Steve Koonin, vp of marketing asset management, now shifts to Coca-Cola USA vp of consumer and presence marketing, adding marketing responsibilities for Sprite, Fresca, Diet Sprite, Minute Maid, Nestea and Cool from Nestea to his presence-marketing duties.
Todd Putman moves to executive assistant to Andrew Angle, gm of Coca-Cola USA operations, after serving as managing director of consumer marketing overseeing Coke, Sprite and the diet and adult portfolio. Putman now handles local market management, value-driven marketing and innovation strategies for Coke’s marketing programs.
Tom Reddin, formerly managing director, occasions, now is vp of Coca-Cola USA operations and consumer marketing, reporting to Bifulco. Ten directors and assistant vps were elevated to vp positions in fountain and operations.
