Tenneco Automotive Forms New International Unit – Brief Article
Tenneco Automotive said that it has realigned its Japanese original equipment business operations by integrating its former international vehicle and emerging market units into a new international group. As part of this reorganization, Hari Nair was named senior vice president and managing director, Tenneco Automotive International, and Jeff Jarrell was appointed vice president, Japanese original equipment business.
As head of the new strategic business unit, Tenneco said Nair will direct all Japanese original equipment business operations worldwide and continue to manage Tenneco Automotive’s operations in Asia and South America. Jarrell will be responsible for the global management of all Japanese original equipment programs across Tenneco Automotive’s business units. He will also oversee the company’s strategic alliances with two Japanese companies: Futaba Industrial Co. Ltd. and Tokico Ltd, Tenneco said.
“This international structure more closely aligns the needs of our Japanese customers with Tenneco Automotive’s resources and provides more global coordination supported by our new strategic alliances,” said Mark P. Frissora, chairman and CEO, Tenneco Automotive. “We are fortunate to have in Hari Nair and Jeff Jarrell two executives with proven international business success and special expertise in dealing with the needs of our Japanese customers.”
