Copart Opens New Facility In California – Brief Article
Copart, Inc. said that it has opened its fifth facility in Southern California in the community of Rancho Cucamonga. With the addition of this 39-acre greenfield location Copart now has 101 locations in 40 states.
“The new Rancho Cucamonga location is in the southeastern section of the city, just east of Interstate 15,” said Willis J. Johnson, Copart’s Chief Executive Officer. “Nearly two years ago we began searching for an additional location in the Los Angeles area to handle our growth in the region. This new site gives us significant additional capacity and will allow us to better serve our suppliers in the Inland Empire. We now have five sites in Southern California including Los Angeles, Van Nuys, San Bernardino, San Diego and Rancho Cucamonga.”
Since August 2002, Copart has added seven locations including two MAG sites in West Mifflin, PA and Richmond, VA and five Copart salvage sites in Reno, NV; Springfield, MO; Corpus Christi, TX; Ft. Pierce, FL and Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
