The new Hummer Driving Club at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa allows guests to drive a 2003 H2 Hummer on the tight trails and logging roads of the resort. The two-hour class begins on a field test course that prepares drivers for the numerous obstacles–muddy ponds, precarious slopes, and vertical ledges–of the actual course. The cost of the class is $275 per vehicle. After two hours, the vehicle rents for $100 per hour. Each vehicle holds four people comfortably.
Nemacolin Woodlands has 287 luxurious guest rooms, suites, townhouses, and private luxury homes. In addition to the acclaimed Woodlands Spa, the resort offers 36 holes of golf on two championship courses and a golf academy, a 30-station sporting clays facility, an equestrian center, 14 specialty shops, a ski facility for both downhill and crosscountry enthusiasts, restaurants and lounges, and a multi-million-dollar art collection. A private airfield is available.
