Tickling young collectors
I look forward to receiving your publication every month. I enjoyed Debbie Hagan’s article in the April issue about the young collectors and their tastes [“Galleries and Artists Cater to the Young at Art”].
We have seen that young people are attracted to the colors and wit found in artist Lance Dehne’s work. The consumers that we work with do not want the “same old-same old.” They wish to be engaged, enticed and tickled with their choice. As cheaper and cheaper prints are distributed in places such as the local grocery store, our clients want the unique and obvious one-of-a-kind piece, such as a corner piece of sculpted canvas made to fit a specific wall in a specific room.
