Side roads introduces Don David – Up Front – Brief Article
MIAMI–Side Roads Publications has signed Don David, a realist Americana painter, to an exclusive publishing contract. His work was introduced at Artexpo New York in March.
“I love the golden age of Modernism,” said David, who said he has always been interested in architecture of the 1930s and ’40s. He has dedicated himself to capturing fading icons of American culture, such as vintage theaters, signs, diners, drugstores, boardwalk storefronts and more in his paintings.
David’s work has been exhibited throughout the Northeast in group and solo shows and can be found in numerous private and corporate collections. His work is also currently exhibited at the Paul Garber Facility in the Smithsonian Institution in Suitland, Md.
His work is available in original oils on canvas and giclee prints through Side Roads.
