Playmate releases series of Playboy images – news
NEW YORK — Artist and Playboy Playmate Victoria Fuller debuted a series of paintings titled “The Art of a Playboy Playmate” at Animazing Gallery here in December. She is the first fine artist to be granted the right to depict the Playboy image, logo and name ha limited-edition artwork.
Fuller, who was Playboy’s “Miss January” in 1996, has used her knowledge of the company’s culture and history to create a group of paintings, limited-edition prints, mixed-media originals and sculpture, including “Movie Time,” a painting of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, and “Bunny Money,” which celebrates the Playboy Clubs of the 1970s.
The launch of Fuller’s paintings coincides with Playboy Magazine’s 50th anniversary year, which will be celebrated with a variety of events, products and specials.
Prices for Fuller’s originals range from $6,000 to $25,000 and editions on canvas are priced from $1,250 to $1,450.
