Larry Winn runs for organ donation awareness – news – chief executive officer of Grand Image Ltd – Brief Article
SEATTLE — Grand Image C.E.O. Larry Winn recently joined a team of doctors, nurses and other staff from the University of Washington hospital, as well as other transplant recipients, for the Seattle Half Marathon. Calling themselves “Team Transplant,” the group of about 50 people raised money for organ donation awareness.
Winn was the recipient of a liver transplant in early 2002. Not even a year later, with a recovery no short of miracles, Winn said he feels optimistic on his new lease on life and was thrilled to run for the cause of organ donation awareness.
“The transplant has become, next to my marriage and the birth of my children, the greatest occurrence in my life,” he said. “In short, it taught me about real life and what it should be.”
Joined by his wife Susan and daughter Kristie, Winn placed 58th out of 500. Visit www.grandimage.com for more information.
