Kolibri Art Studios opens first retail gallery – gallery News – Brief Article

PALOS VERDES PENINSULA, Calif. — Kolibri Art Studios has opened its first retail location at The Avenue of the Peninsula on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Kolibri Art Studios’ new gallery occupies 10,000 square feet on the center’s third level. The gallery offers a variety of fine art prints from its collection of hand-screened, limited-edition serigraphs and digital reproductions. Ranging in size from 6 by 6 to 38 by 50 inches and averaging in price from $1,000 to $3,000, the works are printed on a variety of materials, such as canvas, aluminum, Mylar, wood panel and several types of paper. Pieces are available unframed or can be framed on-site by the gallery’s framing staff, and framing services are also available.

“The Avenue of the Peninsula is a perfect fit for Kolibri Art Studios’ first retail gallery, and we are proud to offer our fine art prints and services directly to discerning art collectors and connoisseurs in Palos Verdes and surrounding South Bay communities,” said Herta Headrick, Kolibri Art Studio president, co-founder and chromist.

The Kolibri Art Studios gallery features a museum-style layout interior design with several separate viewing rooms, as well as a main conference room. Additionally, to educate consumers about the various printing processes available today, one section of the gallery includes an interactive display with Web cams that offer views of Kolibri’s artists at work. “We are committed to both customer service and customer education,” said Kolibri business manager and co-founder Wayne Headrick. “Education is the main reason for our success and a big component of our work. So, of course, we are happy to share our knowledge with interested customers as well.”
