Felipe Jimenez Marcel – Emerging Artists – sculptor – Brief Article
The powerful yet poetic abstract sculptures of Puerto Rican artist Felipe Jimenez Marcel have been gaining attention for their graceful movement, reflection of light and combination of materials such as stainless steel, clay, iron and cement.
His work, which addresses such themes as youthfulness, postmodernism, globalization and existentialism, has been exhibited at more than 30 group shows and six individual exhibitions over the last few years. He has exhibited at the Galeria Tamara in Hato Rey and the Art League of San Juan, both in Puerto Rico; Art Basel and the Florida Museum of Hispanic and Latin American Art.
