It struck me as I read your April 2004 Editor’s Note–I love Art Business News. At a time when I’ve become either bored or disgusted by many other industry publications (who shall remain nameless),yours continues to serve up inspired articles. Your Editor’s Note is always simple, informed and thought provoking. Rather than appearing as if you are patting yourselves on the back, your “letters to the editor” section instead serves to reassert how diverse your readership truly is. And, while the publication is heavily peppered with references and assistance for two-dimensional art companies, you regularly step outside these bounds to survey craft shows, gift markets and even gallery software. I appreciate this broad view and your staff’s approach to neither talk over people’s heads nor dumb down important business subjects.
